I'm in a similar boat. I have already made one payment and about to make the second. My problem is the bank wants the title. I could pay the dealer now, but I don't think they can produce a title.

I need to chat with my loan officer to find out my options if my Bronco won't be arriving until after mid-Dec. Maybe my dealer can cash the bank check and put it into an escrow account. I don't want to purchase my Bronco sight unseen just in case I'm one of the unlucky ones that gets totaled in transit or has a major issue at delivery.

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that people are getting loans and making payments on vehicles that they don't actually own, or not in their position.

I mean literally, the collateral of your loan is the vehicle. What bank in their right mind would give you money with zero chance getting their hands on the collateral?

In addition, at least in my experience, we have a loan on a vehicle it must have full coverage insurance. What insurance company is going to ensure of vehicle that you haven't taken possession of?

Iean I'm happy for folks that locked in lower interest rates...this just has disaster written all over it.

As someone in this position, I fully expected to have already purchased my Bronco by now. Shame on me for trusting that FMC would deliver my Bronco when they said that they would. I had my insurance binder in place for my credit union. My insurance company said that they could place a hold on it until my Bronco finally arrives. They said these things get canceled all the time so it wasn’t a big deal. I own my home and my credit score is 835 so I don’t think my credit union is concerned about me defaulting on the auto loan.

Don’t worry everyone, people who were built yesterday already getting shipped emails, all that matters is other people get theirs

And some from last week are already being delivered. Comical that no one at any of our dealers can figure out how to get ours shipped.
There I go again, thinking they give a shit. I've got to quit looking at the build threads in these Forums..

No rail number and according to chat and my phone calls, it has been "released" but hasn't actually gone anywhere. Dealer says they don't see any movement either.

Welcome! Most of us long haulers haven't even received the "Shipped" notification yet. So you are one step ahead of us. But it sounds like you may be in a new type of shipped limbo. Hopefully you see some movement soon!

You'd think Ford would be a bit more efficient getting their trains to Texas since we buy more Broncos than any other state! Where is your dealer?

I think there are a few people in the exact same situation in the 9/19 tracker that are also in Texas.

Same story here! I'm also in Texas but I'm a 9/29 blend. It was built 10/6 and changed to shipped on the tracker on 10/8. Initially delivery date according to chat was 10/15, but backdoor is showing delivery of 10/25 - 10/31.
Chat hasn't been able to give me a rail car number so it's near impossible to know where it's at - sitting in a lot at MAP most likely. But neither our dealer nor chat seem to have any concrete info as to where it may be.
Had a glimmer of hope yesterday as our dealer mentioned having a backlog of vehicles released from Mesquite and was hopeful ours was there.
Let us know this morning that it was NOT part of those 200 vehicles fml

Having only been built 3-weeks ago.......and knowing it was shipped........I don't know if I would characterize things that way. I was built 6 weeks before you and Ford doesn't know where my vehicle even is.

You’re definitely in a worse place than me, but I wasn’t trying to make light of anyone else’s wait time. I know we’ve all had our share of frustrations, some more than others. I didn’t realize I hadn’t met the prerequisite wait time to feel frustrated lmao
I’ll post again in 6 weeks when it’s more acceptable to share my experience

And I don’t actual know if it was shipped.
No rail car info. Chat doesn’t have any info. Dealer has no info. It could have been shipped. It could be at Mesquite. It could be at Alliance. It could be at MAP. If it hasn’t shipped, so be it, but having just sold my truck and nearing the 30 days on my pre approval, I would kinda like an idea of where we’re at more or less!
