This is not meant to be a review but rather a quick comparison now that my wife got her Sasq OBX 4 dr MY22. I’ve had my MY21 2.3 manual 2 dr Badlands no-Sasq since March.
I ordered both rigs at the same time. She wanted hers spec’d like a luxury car with high package and leather seats, while mine is basic standard package no options except for the tow package.
My Badlands very much reminds me of the Land Rover Defenders I’ve owned in the past, just updated with some tech. I love the way it drives on the highway - it’s my daily driver. The speakers did get replaced and I do have the annoying roof ping but not a big deal for me. I still have mixed feelings about the MGV seats. But I love my Badlands.
My wifes rig on the other hand feels like a Range Rover inside. Maybe because its a 4 dr, or maybe the larger tires with the Sasq, it just feels super solid and more smooth over bumps. Her rig also got sound deadening which does seem to keep the highway noise down quite a bit. Her rig seems perfect for road trips while I will be taking mine off road.
