Nobody took me up on my trade offer so I guess I'm stuck with it.

Did the first oil change today. Not the easiest car I've done but not the worst. The dipstick is really hard to read, it took a bunch of tries to be satisfied that 6 quarts was good. I used a Motorcraft filter and Kirkland 5w-30 full synthetic, it meets all of Ford's standards.
Everybody knows it's 5 quarts. And you use a 1992 Eddie Bauer edition (not XLT) Bronco dipstick for a true reading. Hahahahahaha! Seriously though, my first full synth change was a nice upgrade. I run FS in all my vehicles.

I made the dealership do my oil change a week or so ago for ten first time ever... with my supplied amsoil. They had no issues using what oil I wanted. I wasn't sure how they were going to react... But with all the bs around oil change amounts and levels I figured I'd let them do it this time around. They also put in the Ronin drain plug I had sitting in the box. Which surprised me a little as well. Lol

The harbor freight hitch basket fits perfectly in the back of a 2dr when broken down. It makes a nice cargo organizer while it's there.

Picking up a soft top in Portland this weekend and the box won't fit inside. With no roof rack it's riding home in (on) the basket.

Also added an aluminum bracket to the tire carrier to hold a flag. That position is just over 4ft so a 4ft whip gets me to the required 8ft.

Crossed the 3k mark today, rolling at 12 psi after a day at the dunes. Baja mode is a riot.

Back from my journey. Nearly 1000 miles all said and done. Had a blast. Averaged a tick over 17 mpg even with about 8 hours of offroading mixed in.

Drug home a twill Bestop and a Ranger aluminum spare. It's 16x6.5 +55, for $20 I could see it being useful.

That's a pretty clean Bronco...

My assumption is you just left the Starbucks drive thru, and decided to park for a photo-op for "the Gram." Surprised your Venti extra hot, extra cold, triple syrup, 10 shots of espresso, extra caramel, half sweet, no whip drink isn't sitting on the hood too.

She's finally free from Dirt Mountain! 567 days from reservation, 370 days from order, 176 days from blend.

She arrived with 70 miles on the ODO. I inspected using @cat's checklist. Flawless except the tiniest bit of snakeskin on the passenger front panel.

First impressions are the gearing is a tad high, 6th isn't too useful. Mileage drops off a cliff over 60mph. I averaged right at 18mpg on the 350 miles home, with speeds between 60-75.

The Sirius selection sucks. The base speakers are not impressive but they're not as terrible as expected from other's reviews.

The ASS doesn't bother me, it stays running with the clutch depressed and restarts plenty quick enough if I'm in neutral with clutch out.

It took a minute to get the seat adjusted but it's quite comfy when it's there. The lumbar is going to be a sweaty spot though.

The headlights are nice and bright, night driving didn't bother me as much as usual. The auto dimming worked perfectly, I like that feature.

I'm leaving the nannies enabled, they didn't bother me at all.

The "analog" speedo is dumb and a waste of space. Never even look at it. The bar tach works fine.

Stay tune for mods, although they're going to minimal because this thing rocks right out of the box.

Congrats and worth the wait. Happy driving....

Uggggg. That sucks when that happens. Hopefully can be polished out.

I love our Bronco and really appreciate new trucks, but sometimes I yearn for my '82 K5 Blazer. It was a mess when I got it; rebuilt that thing in the late 80's and loved it. It was a beast with lots of war wounds but adding some bruises to it never felt bad. Miss those days. May it rest in peace after a fiery ending.

Got the dirt washed off and got a look at my new custom pinstriping.

I've been putting off washing mine so I won't see all the scratches. Maybe this summer.

Strange message popped up today after shutting it off. Center screen stayed on and said to shut down to save battery. I hit start again and it fired back up, then same message when shutting off again.

Ordered a level kit today. Only going to run the spacer between the shock and LCA, I don't want the full inch. May use the leftover in the back for an extra 1/4". (or 5/16-3/8, whenever the spacers are)

I put the soft top on today. I may never go back, it was a pain.

Found out that any old 315mhz seem to keep the TPMS light off, even if they don't read accurately. I put these F150 wheels on a few days ago and still no light. I pulled off the Motegis to get proper sensors in them since the ebay ones I tried were also on/off.
