This is a nice design!
Is that top panel affixed to something or can it just be pulled off? If it's not attached somehow it could potentially go flying in an accident.

Hello! Thank you for the good question. Yes, you have 2 options:
1) The top cover is more than a lid — it’s a pull-out deck. Slide it out to access deep cargo — even a fridge or cooler. Want flexibility? Leave it free-sliding.
2) When closed, special locking blocks prevent any vertical movement. Want to make it permanent? Fix it with screws.
