I’m about to order a MTM attic shelf but am wondering if I’ll still be able to use my Toplift to get the clamshell off.

I wasn’t sure if the shelf tilts down enough to get the Toplift in there deep enough to lift it off.

Following because I am in the same boat, close to ordering but only if I can still use my Top Lift.

Unfortunately it does not work. The Attic tray will interfere with the TLP and not let it get all the way in to lift. I now either sit inside and lift up and slide the top back or grab my wife or son to lift it up onto the TLP for storage.

I do not regret getting the M2M attic shelf and this tiny inconvenience isn’t as annoying as one would think.

Guessing that's also the M2M flip up shelf you have there. What about if you had just that installed, would the TLP work then? If you flip it up is there enough room?

I have the other model of the Top Lift. I think it's the called the Venture lift, it's designed a little differently and I'm wondering if that would work.

There is no issue with my lower M2M shelf it can be down or up and no issue and no interference. With my TLP model the arms hit the attic tray when it is in the down position. There’s a possibility your model TLP may work hopefully someone with that model and tray can chime in for the group about compatibility. If it has longer and higher arms that can reach in and access the roof with the attic tray down should be good to go.

I got my Toplift from a wrangler guy and came with door lift attachments as well as extension bars to support the top. I wonder if adding extensions to the Toplift would give enough purchase to get it up and back enough that it could be slid onto the top lift in its proper position.

I have the extensions as well for the top lift. For me the extensions don’t help because it doesn’t stop the front bars from making contact on the tray which doesn’t allow the rear supports to enter the clam shell to lift and support the top. I’ve circled the two areas to give a visual.
