Hi, a few days into ownership, searching but not getting clear answers. Please tell me there is a cargo tonneau cover that doesn't have back straps?? On my Wrangler I had a really nice cover but you could just simply open the rear door. I can't seem to find something similar for the Bronco. I am not undoing straps (or suction cups)every time I want to open the back door (And I don't want straps on my paint). I know some people have modified with suction cups, etc... but hoping I am just missing something in my searching and there really is a good cover out there. (and I can't figure out why they wouldn't just use magnets to hold that flap down vs. straps:-O.

and my next question is... if I grab a soft top and use it for part of the year, is there a Tonneau cover that works with the soft top?

Thx much

I hated those straps… I got the ford cover, then chopped the long straps off and put suction cups on the cover under the buckle strap. I kept the buckle on as it covers the bolt and makes it easier to tug it into place.

Here’s the cups. Just punctured a hole and bolted these on.

and pic. Enjoy!

JFTops is the way

I bought the original tonneau cover that he made when I had my JKU and I'm getting ready to buy the same for my Bronco now.

Well made and after 4 years of use on and off road, no damage or fading. I even had it covering an 18 inch sub and it flexed and moved and has never cracked. In fact I still have it on one of my garage shelves just in case I ever go back to a JKU 😂

It looks cool. Definitely a bit expensive. Do you have to put on the board separating the cargo area from the cab? I would want to leave that off for longer items.

The board behind the rear seats can be unscrewed. That's what I did when I added my subwoofer box. The guy at JF was pretty cool to work woth...i bet he could likely just make it without that piece. The price seems a little steep until you get to see it. The cover will outlast the and you'd need an axe to get through it.

I actually sent them a support request as soon as I read your message got a response not 10 minutes ago from them. They said it's on the list. They just need to get a volunteer Bronco for measurements. I'm a little far away in Nova Scotia or I would donate KT in a hot minute!!!!🤣🤣🤣

I removed the straps and got suction cups and nylon acorn nuts to secure the back flap - see my post on this thread:
