all they had to do was mount the pivot on the door handle to the opposite side. meaning, when you pull the door handle you're actually temporarily pushing in on the door and giving it a second to react. not the way it's set up now as when you open it you're actually ripping the door away from the seal. engineers, lol

be nice if the handles were symmetrical so we could flip them and extend the cable

Ford just changed the way window drop function works on 2023's built after 7/12. Here is how it will now work. It says they are investigating a way to have it work the same way on previously built vehicles.

I prefer mine to be left alone. No issues. What good is it if you don’t lock vehicle each time you close a door. Such as cleaning or just using it outdoors at a camp/beach. If the rubber at top hardens over time it may become more of an issue.

How about old school handles with a thumb push button to open. That would slow the opening.
