Not sure that is what he was speaking to, but seriously, they had an intrusion into their systems and as a precaution to something potentially a lot more devastating, they shut down their pipeline till safety can be more assured. The fact that those areas chose to have no backup plans for this very foreseen issue is much like any of the other shortages. A lot of people taking shortcuts to good planning and getting caught out. It seems to be happening a lot more lately that companies are feeling the pain of their own poor choices, more readily apparent in a global industry of uncertainty. These issues are only showing us the cracks in the system long since assumed were taken care of, believe me, living in Central TX during the last week outage of many resources only reinforced what I was already suspecting and aware of. And thankfully I was prepared because of it.40% of eastern capacity is like losing all the oil flow for a decent sized European country. That’s like shutting off ALL flow in Canada at the same time.
I don’t think you’re giving enough credit for how many people live in the population area affected by this.
you got that right, not to get into details but assessments on national infrastructures and risks exist, but nothing gets done about it until its an issue. reactive vs proactive and comes down to pay now or pay a whole lot more later gamble away. Not sure that is what he was speaking to, but seriously, they had an intrusion into their systems and as a precaution to something potentially a lot more devastating, they shut down their pipeline till safety can be more assured. Kinda shows how bad cybersecurity is with pipelines.....Kinda shows how important pipelines are, huh?
Especially a fat lazy society that flips out about cup holders! This is the TP of 2021.
There isn't a shortage... people are just over-reacting!
If the last few years have proven anything, Americans don't give a F about their neighbors. I always thought shows like the walking dead or any apocalyptic movie were impossible. But man, last year certainly proved how quickly society collapses under pressure.
I know your right, but I have been guilty of it before. It is really painful when it is on empty to put 36 gallons in. I just tell myself it is the same either way.Never understood why people don’t just fill up when at the gas station, you’re already there...why just put $20? Yeah i get it’s painful to watch it go beyond that, then fill up when it gets halfway instead of running it til it hits “E”?
When I was a 15 and stealing my stepmothers car in the middle of the night, a ford aspire, I once put less than a dollar in the tank. Cant remember but it was like 78 centsI k

@The Memedalorian I get where you’re coming from my man but this is so clearly a joke. I will delete any comment about politics, doesn’t matter where on that political compass you are. Here at Bronco6G (most of us... still some stragglers need some reminders every once in a whileI do actually enjoy politics in real life, but on this forum time and time again it just devolves, and then it’s time to delete comments or nuke entire threads which i prefer not doing. Also if we did allow politics I’d just delete people’s comments that didn’t agree with me and that just wouldn’t be fair now would it!![]()

The difference is that it’s a specific political joke targeting another specific group. If you said “hey I’m one of those people you disagree with and this is censorship” that would work fine. Mine is just joking in general and specifically about WHY we can’t talk about politics. Either way if you have issues with our policies about politics feel free to address them to me or @Administrator in a PM we’d be happy to discuss. And my initial response was a joke, too.
