Anybody else with me on this?

You drive a Subaru ascent. You are on a Bronco website. A Bronco only makes 4 wd vehicles. Soooo NO, I am not with you on this.

I just wish they made all the lights toggle switches and most of the other controls like the aux switches. It would be really cool to show people and the first month of ownership would be even better, but I think it would get old very quickly. Still want it though.

I’ll gladly take the modern dead pedal over the floor-mounted bright switch.

Ok.... Old Dude here.... I even remember the Starter Button next to the gas pedal....

But all of this headlight switch location being the biggest design oversight is... well... B.S.!!!

The Biggest Design Oversight IMHO is the Bronco not having a Drop Down Tailgate w/Swing Away Spare.

Way to go FoMoCo.... you just said F the EB and just copy whatever JEEP is doing.....

It did get a little crunchy at times, maybe a second harder toe tap
nothing can compare to the nostalgic excitement when the floor mounted dimmer gets stuck in the "no-beam" purgatory between high and low beams when dimming your lights for oncoming traffic when on a curve.

I think that’s “necker” knob

a knob on the steering wheel allowing one armed usage?

my old man, class of 58, taught me that’s a necker knob. Drive with the left arm while your girl is cozied up next to you under your right arm

makes sense once folks remember that the seats in old cars were a long single bench, like a couch
Soda vs pop, it sounds like.

My grandfather (WW2 vet) always had one attached to his black Ford LTD steering wheels.

Yes, I miss those, seems like we've advanced enough that a Ford could even get the floor mounted radio seek button next to it like Cadillac's.

No sure if this is mentioned yet, but I think part of the high beam system on upper trims is auto high beams that go to low beams when another car is coming. Unless im thinking of the f150 review recently released! ?‍♂

You got me beat.:) I was 9 then, how the hell did a DeSoto last that long.
I’m old enough to know better! But not to old that I don’t want to die with a smile on my face! By I have you beat by over a decade.

Is the lack of a floor mounted high beam switch.

Cruising down the road at night, you see a car coming, with a little flick of the foot “klu-chinnnnng” low beams. A few seconds later, without changing your grip on the wheel “Lou-chinnnng” high beams again.

Anybody else with me on this?
Just like my father's '71 Pinto Wagon. Ahhh...takes me back.

Or they coulda gone way back to the original usage of the floor button, for the starter. I mean they got push button start anyways, why not make it a floor button to really bring it full circle?

I'd be fine with a floor mounted switch, my first half dozen vehicles had them.

I miss vent windows. They wouldn't work on the new frame-less Bronco windows but they are - or were I guess - so handy. I guess when all vehicles started coming with AC there wasn't a need for the vents any longer.

My grandpa's 84 Ford F350 had that!! I'm also born in 84! I learned to drive that bad boy. Crew cab long bed. Stick. Hauling hay was my first memory learning to drive!!
Yeeesss! My folks had a 85 F250 6.9 diesel, I can't count the hours I spent in that thing hauling hay and cattle as a kid. I frickin loved that damn floor switch for the high beam...except when you hit the dead zone!! Miss some of those old school things.
