Wrong. As I pointed out in my post a few posts up, Bronco’s implementation absolutely blows compared to other brands who do frameless.I have a 15 year old frame-less window Mustang that opens a half inch every time you open the door. 15 years ago when I saw that design, i was just as apprehensive as the OP. Truth be told.... It has worked flawlessly every time.
Its a non issue.
The OP, like many, who first see the frameless window operation are skeptics. Its purely a perception issue. An incorrect perception. Put it to rest. its a good design and a reliable part of the car.
With how bad the Bronco is, I’d prefer that the windows all just drop a quarter inch when the vehicle is unlocked and roll back up when it is locked. My BMWs and Tesla’s receded quickly enough to never, ever, ever catch the weather stripping.
edit: maybe you’re not saying that all frameless windows operate this way, but rather that Bronco’s crappy implementation just won’t break anything over 15 years. Maybe this is true, but other manufacturers prove that this doesn’t have to exist as something to talk about in the first place.
