Hey all! Thanks for making this thread. I'm a complete wiring noob so I just wanted to confirm, according to those diagrams you posted, it looks like this is the wire to tap into. Is that correct? It's brown and yellow per the diagram...

I also used the SPV harness, easy peasy and no splicing.

It looks like they have an add on for including a fuse. I was assuming that was unnecessary since the headlights have their own fuses. Is that correct?

Did you tap it? Did it work? I am looking to tap parking light for aftermarket led backlight function.
Any info, links, etc. Much appreciated.
BadMan.

For my flush mounted backup lights I pulled from the trailer wiring harness with a 7 pin plug in adapter. For the front lights I used upfitter #6 and leave it switched on all the time. If I ever need to recover upfitter #6 I’ll run a single wire from the hitch to the engine compartment for the front backlighting.

Old thread, but it came up when I searched for the topic so I thought it might be good to update it.

I'm sure you are well past this now but for others... I believe that is not the correct wire. The photo looks like it is driver-side "LF" and the location looks wrong for something going to the lights. The left-side wire should be Green/Orange (parking) or Grey/Blue (DRL).

Yesterday I partially installed 4" Auxbeam V-Max pod with the amber marker lights. I tapped into the driver-side parking lights for the amber and tested it to confirm it functioned.

For wire access I partially removed the driver-side wheel well liner (front-most half of the liner, 3x 7mm bolts and 4-5 plastic grommets). Once you have the liner pulled part way off, the wire bundle is right there. You can most easily access the wire at the point where it leaves the large wire bundle. It is roughly even with the center of the tire where two smaller wire sections leave the large bundle. The two smaller bundles are near each other, with one on the wheel-most side of the large bundle and one on the engine-most side. The wheel-most side has the Green/Orange wire to tap into.

I did not see the C-203 plug connection and suspect it is in a less accessible location. This would be the wire after that connection between it and the lights.

For the wiring I only used part of the wires provided with the lights, cutting them just before the two block things. I connected the white wire to the parking light tap, the red to the auxiliary switch, and the black to a ground.
