I haven't gotten a great look at all the different options, but it seems like the all could rub paint on the hinges or tailgate? Do they?

I was concerned about that too. But you could also add some thin gasket-like material between it and your paint (should be able to find at a hardware store). I'm not sure what it's called, but my Baja Designs lights came with it to put between the brackets and my modular bumper. Works great and is adhesive. Probably helps with vibrations too. 🤷‍♂️

Pretty sure it's like this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/Neoprene-Waterproof-Warehouse-Stripping-Supports/dp/B091BZZZ61

I used the Rough Country reinforcement mount. It has spacers that goes in where the bolts go doesn’t touch the surface of the hinge. The last photo shows the beveled spacers that act like the head of the bolts that goes in the hinge under the bracket.
