Tailgate noise after upgrading wheels & tires

I just installed new rims and tires. Went with fuel covert with 35 Micky Thompsons. The tailgate now makes a lot of noise when I hit bumps. Any thoughts on stopping this?

I second this. It quieted down the noises we had and ours still has the stock 32s on it. I can't imagine the noises it would make with a 35 on the back.

I went up to 37x13.5/20 Mickey Thompson's and I mounted the spare and mine started to bounce rattle when hitting bumps. So I installed the Rough Country tailgate reinforcement kit. Now I don't it at all as it takes the brunt of the wt and loads it onto the hinges.

Yes, straight forward. Take the spare tire mount off of tail gate door, put any kind of wedge between bottom of door and bumper to ensure door remains in place while you take hinge bolts out. Install reinforcement plate, reinstall spare mount. If you need to raise the third brake light for oversize tires, you can buy the whole kit to do so or just buy the plate only.

Extend the rubber bumpers. This comes up all the time.
