Tailgate Handle Cover Removal?

I've found good videos on how to remove the 4-passenger door handles, but how do you get access to the release bolt to get the tailgate handle off?

actually, I bought the service manual dvd a few weeks back so i could answer these same questions for my build.

Thanks. I wonder if that trim panel cover removal is necessary? I don’t see anything like that required for the other doors.

That I’m not sure of. Probably not, but I don’t know what parts of the latch mechanism come away with the handle.
