I’ve been thinking about purchasing this as well. I am interested as to why do you change back to a hard top for road trips? Noise or security reasons?imo, if you have another set of hands to steady it into place, you don't need a professional installer. It's not even heavy, one person could easily lift/position it. I had my kid get inside and help hold it up while I guided it into place. On road trips, I swap it back to hard panels. It takes 15 mins, after you've done the initial install. Maybe the only tricky part would be not over tightening the bracket into the hardtop. Honestly, I'd rather do that myself rather than finding it stripped by an installer months later. I don't even know if that's a concern or has happened, I'm just extra paranoid about taking care of the hardtop.

If your passengers will also want full sun (or you also get a mesh sun screen) that is. Not in my case, my wife and kid will usually alternate the passenger to back seats, while my idiot self gets too much sun. Also, the sunrider can be opened and closed from the drivers seat, without exiting - this is huge for me and why I ultimately went with the sunrider over the skyrider.I have the skyrider for bronco…….love it! Had the sunrider on previous wrangler ….loved it too. If you can swing the extra $$$$$….the. Get the skyrider. Won’t regret it!
ANd the noise? water leaks?I have the skyrider for bronco…….love it! Had the sunrider on previous wrangler ….loved it too. If you can swing the extra $$$$$….the. Get the skyrider. Won’t regret it!
My sunrider does not leak and the noise after some adjustment (you will find countless threads about this) isn't bad, remember it is just a convertible top and my Miata wasn't the quietest thing on the highway. But the convenience of just opening the top whenever makes it worth it.ANd the noise? water leaks?
Hello, I have a question, I picked up my Bronco w hardtop in March 23 and one of the first things that I wanted to purchase was a besttop for the warmer months ( I’m in NJ). Fast forward, I wasn’t sure which way to go so, I haven’t make this purchase, yet. Do you have to remove any of the besttop hardware in order to reinstall the drive and passenger hardtop pieces? I’m pretty sure that if you get the skyrider model that the besttop hardware has to be removed in order to reinstall the 3 hardtop ( driver, passenger and back row) roof panels. Please let me know your thoughts and thank you.imo, if you have another set of hands to steady it into place, you don't need a professional installer.
