With 40 inch plus tires, I'd look into an after market bumper with tire swing out option, just to not stress the hinges no matter how strong.
Am I the only one who didn't like the power rear windows? Both my gen 4 and gen 5 had long running issues with them, in my experience it was the least reliable part of the vehicle
(Though i will admit it was pretty great being able to roll it down along with the other windows while moving for more airflow)

Ok, for everyone that wants the roll down window, how would you propose making that work with soft tops? Or the fastback hardtop (speaking of looking like a jeep) that some people want? Having a gap in the top of the gate for the window to go through would be a pain to seal up using anything except the hardtop, which probably causes a lot of the issues that everyone experiences with FSBs or K5s or 1st gen 4Runners.
Looking at the rear end, it looks just like the rest of it to me. A modern take on the ‘66-‘77s (which all had pop up rear windows BTW).

To all the "this looks like a wrangler" folks. If you look back at history. It was likely the Early Broncos that inspired the modern passenger friendly hardtop style trends that started with the JK and now the JL. As far as the tops or the rear is concerned I think those dont look like jeeps, They look like Broncos. The last Jeep that truly looked like a Jeep from every angle was the TJ/LJ since they stayed true to the narrow rounded jeep style.
Styling trends is alot of back and forth one up manship if you look through the ages of all things, cars, buildings, phones, etc.
Also wanted to note that it is starting to look to me and I hope, that every vertical top panel may be able to be removed while the horizontal hardtop shell stays in place. I really hope so. On my old CJ5 i took a broken CJ7 top and cut the sides and glass off of it and welded some bolts to a couple exhaust clamps to make a roll bar mount to put the the shell on top of it. It had a really cool look, especially with a big full width 9" rear and boggers sticking out. Looked like some king of crazy dune buggy with the standard narrow front end. I also wheeled that jeep all over ohio and it had a 360 so it went on the highway alot, Maybe some Michiganders that designed this thing caught a glimpse and said thats a cool roof. Maybe

Thats what my wife loves about it. On the fly airflow when the dogs(not me ofcourse) start farting.

Yeah, that’s my guess, as to why there’s tread on the surface.
What if the rear window is removable? That would give you air flow without driving around with your window sticking up. That would work for me. Yes, a lowering window would rock. There’s always gen7.
