Spring preload to lift?

I have come to the conclusion that everyone is viewing this in different situations. What each is describing works for their model. That is why there is so much disagreement. I have found the answers I was seeking and see no reason to continue the discussion because there seems to be tension developing.

I enjoy technical discussion but when stress (emotional not physical) comes into play, tempers can flare.

I appreciate the participation and thank you for helping me understand the coilover system better.
