Heyo, I'm sorry to blow up this forum with questions, thank you for everyone's help and advice.
I installed the following parts to upgrade my Bronco sound system, and I'm experiencing some issues that I could use some help with. Here are the details of the install and what's going on:
I hear slight static during certain songs, and it seems to be coming from the dash speakers, although it's hard to pinpoint. I turned off the Ford EQ and made the rear speakers full range instead of tweeters in ForScan. I ran the power for the amp from the battery and grounded the amp underneath the steering column.
I want this system to be as good as possible and install the sub, but the slight static is driving me crazy. Are there any car stereo pros out there who can help? Is it possible that my ground is the issue? Should I extend it to the chassis ground in the engine compartment?
Kicker KSC40 for the dash and the rears
Kicker 46CSC674 for the kick panels
Kicker 200.4 Key Amp
Plug N PlayBronco harness
