I recently bought some cross bars with the single purpose of hauling plywood 5 miles home. Bolt on the are in the way of the soft top. It’s inconvenient to take them off and on. Maybe I can change that? Looking at reaming (yes that’s the correct use of the word) the welded nut and replacing the bolt with a quick release pin. Found the properly rated hardware and the length of the quick release pin is pretty close to snug.
