Since the present 2 door soft top offerings don't roll all the way down and don't look good, really untidy, it occurred to me that perhaps part of the problem is that the top is trying too hard to cover too much.
So since we have the removable panels for the front, a softop doesn't have to cover that area. By doing so the top only covers a rectangular box. From my vast experience designing convertible tops (OK, none at all) that should allow for a simpler folding mechanism and maybe a top that doesn't look like a bedroll hanging off the rear part of the roll cage.
It would be useful for those of us who would like the flexibility of the full open experience on the trail but with the ability to close up before getting on the freeway or if the weather decides it's going to rain after all.
