Smartphone app idea...

Someone out there who develops apps...how about an app that sends a push notification to put on your doors/top based on weather? I can imagine it would be useful for me to get a reminder at 7:30 that there will be pop-up showers so I need to put my doors on.

I know some smart-alecs will say, "It's called a weather app"...but I'm not a check the weather every day kind of guy. My watch sends me a daily report in the morning, but it's a general forecast with highs/lows and appointment reminders.

I just did a basic search for "jeep top reminder app" and got nada.

I understand what you’re saying, but my Apple Watch will show me the hourly forecast. That’s good enough for me to figure out the timing of when I need to put the top on.

It exists. It just doesn't tell you to specifically put your hardtop on.

You might want to look into IFTTT (If This Then That) it can do a ton of things like that just by gluing the API's from a bunch of different vendors together. I had one for a bit that would send telegram notifications to my BMW iDrive since it couldn't handle anything but texts

Also you can set an alert in the Weather Channel app to alert you of rain/snow.

All of these are good ideas. For marketing purposes, having a convertible-specific app would be good.

At the end of day, I'm scatter-brained and will surely run out on a day when it calls for rain... Just looking for some help.
