Should I even bother dropping tow package?

I'd say good chance it worked. I don't really need 7 pin. I can add a 4 pin easy and cheap, so that's what I'll probably end up doing which should be fine.

First off War Eagle!

I was a 1/17/20 Resv and holding out for the hardtop and tow package. However, since the Bronco was my 50TH bday present form my wife, I decided to go ahead and place my order and dropped both. I place my order 12/3/21 and it was scheduled for build 1/31/22 with an actual built on 2/16 and delivered 2/25 with pickup on 2/26. I do feel that not having the tow package help get my build quicker. BL, 2.7, SAS. LUX. VB. Drove it for 4 days before dropping of for tint and PPF. Cant wait to get it back.

I will add an aftermarket hitch at some point and hopefully by the time I do a company will have a direct fit 7 pin solution.

As far as hardtop goes, you don't have the choice of going soft (imo, sucks) so that may still be a hold for your build. Therefore, it might be worth the wait for both tow and hardtop. If tow was the only constraint, and it was me I would drop it.

I really don’t think dropping tow will help on a 2 door.

I dropped it and got a 4/4 build date. The truck only hauls about 3500 lbs, which is basically nothing, and adding an aftermarket one is relatively easy, 4 or 7 pin.

3/21 Reservation and order and I dropped Tow last week. Notified a day later I was scheduled with a VIN and build week. I have all the other constraints (MIC, Lux, Leather, Advanced 4 x 4) so I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but this has happened across the forum. I only need a 4-pin for my trailer which is why I dropped it. I can always add that at the dealer when it arrives. If you need the 7 pin then I would wait because orders with Tow are getting built. Additionally, the more people drop it, like me, the better your chances of getting yours with everything you want.

I am thinking about dropping the tow package because while the 7-pin connection would be nice to have, I can work around not having it. I'd rather drop it, add the accessory hitch, and have my Bronco sooner than later. My build has other constraints on it though, like Lux, 2-door MIC top, and manual trans. These are things we aren't willing to change. Since I have a mid-2021 reservation (late to the party) and these other constraint items, is it even worth it to drop tow? Will it make much of a difference in the ability to get it made sooner?

I dropped my tow last week, still didn't get picked up but it isn't a necessity for me and I would love to get it by the summer. I won't budge on the other stuff.

Like others have said, it depends on what you’re willing to settle for. I have a 7/30/20 reservation date and dropped MIC and towing and got scheduled for the week of 3/21 despite other constraints (Lux, 2.7, Sas). Good luck to you whatever you decide.

I forget... if getting the tow package from the factory, is there an additional transmission cooling system added as well? I know it is like this for other Ford vehicles

I am confused. How could you be a 1/17/20 reservation when they didn't start taking reservations until July?

I had tow on my 2021 order but dropped it from my 2022 order as all I’ll ever need is a 4 pin, so easy to add later. Not sure how much of a difference it made as I kept MIC and V6, but mine’s being built this week. Wareagle.
