Searching and searching for a compatible winch

Question for those who have the JRC plate installed. Maybe I should put crazy before "question".

I don't want my winch full-time. If I used properly rated disconnects on the winch by the plate, how hard is it to remove just the plate that holds the winch when not in use? Would using good cotter pins to forgo the 3 bolts on each side be sufficient? Not planning major winch needs but would like to have one. This would remove the requirement for me to move sensors/cameras because it would be on only during off-roading.

Edit: I did ask the question on JRCs site about a week or so ago with no response yet.

Not fussing with the two sensors and front camera would save quite a bit of time while taking the winch plate off/on.

Good idea. Thanks. I’ll check those out. Hopefully they will show how tight a fit, or not, the plate has to the brackets.

ok, so I’ll suggest something entirely different. Having had a bumper mount warn for years on my truck, I love it. However, ordering my new Bronco I decided to go for a 2/4k come-along/hoist https://lug-all.com/products/2-ton-cable-hoist and max trax for recovery on the bronco until I can decide what front end for my Bronco.
Just a thought, until you decide.

Yes the RC Hidden Winch Mount works with the 2.7. RC has detailed instructions to install it. You're not moving "engine" parts around. It's a heat exchanger that gets flipped over with a supplied bracket. You also have to cut off a few un-needed brackets but it's no big deal with a Sawsall.

It is by far the cheapest solution. Also, just about every other option and you're going to be moving the ACC sensor or blocking the camera.

It is a bit more involved If you have the Badlands with the motor driven louvers that open and close...the relocated heat exchanger sits in the way of those louvers opening or closing. It is also tough to get to the winch to make any adjustments/turn a selector. Pretty cramped install and I am not convinced that the relocated heat exchanger is in the best place to get airflow.
