Dude your 0 for 2. The first model year of the Mustang was 1964 1/2.
It is 1965 in the VIN and the paperwork. However, I personally recognize the 1964 1/2 as unique.
It will be like a 2021 Bronco. Rare and without all the options.

The Mansquatch will not be available, just like the fastback on the 1964 1/2 Mustang.

Ad says body is an "easy fix". No such thing on an old 4x4, or probably anything else. Body work and paint is not easy, or cheap. Unless you are in abundance of free time and cash, go with a new Bronco.
This.

There must be a reason he is letting that go at $5500. Check out the amount of rust around the back wheel and tailgate area. Are there pics of the rockers? Probably not! Did someone try to cut the fenders, or is it just rusted out?

Go to wildhorses4x4.com, tomsbroncoparts.com or broncograveyard.com and see how much the parts cost.

Well it really wasn't that had to part with when I already have my 72 Seahawk bronco ( In profile photo) that I spent 30+ on, and the fact that I still have 7 more to build made it really easy to let go to a vary good home, its the 3rd one we sent to a better place, THEN MY SHOP , lol and have 3 going at once together in there now. At least if we get bored with one we just work on the other one next to it . LOL
Lol, your my neighbor! Maple Valley here. No wonder I can’t find any EB projects around here. You got em all..

Do you like the idea of building a vehicle with your own hands?
That's one of several retirement dreams I have. I wonder if I'll see any '66 broncos on Craigslist in 2050

My guess is whoever is selling is just trying to capitalize on broncos being the hot new thing right now. That '66 has probably been sitting in that garage for decades forgotten until this year

I found a '66 Ford Bronco Roller for $5500 on Craigslist:
https://morgantown.craigslist.org/cto/d/rivesville-bronco/7232776867.html

In theory, for about the same price:
I could get a base without Sasquatch and a 1966 Bronco... or a base WITH Sasquatch.

Of course I would have to probably have to put a lot of work into the '66, but it could keep me occupied as I am waiting. I could get the '66 running and perhaps turn a profit on it? Or maybe I get so attached to it, that I keep it, and delay my new Bronco purchase?

Any advice you could provide would be appreciated.

I doubt that. EBs are very trendy and cost a lot, even for rust buckets.

Tell em you arent a sucker and give him 4200 or so then sell everything but the body over the next year and make most if not all your mony back. Then when you geg your new squatched bronco you can ditch the body. Which is bloated and undersized in useable interior space. Then put you polished up 66 body on the chassis transfer only what you like and sell everything you dont.

Then after your project is completed your name will go down in history as the coolest mother f#&<er since the day Samual L. Jackson was born.

Wow! Just Wow! Your ability to think outside the box is superdeluxe!
Plus I can sell my barely used MIC grey top for $1500.
I am going to have a one of a kind $100k rig when this is done!

if you watch the show "Hoovie's Garage" on YouTube, you can see the guy get a used $350k Maybach with door and quarter panel damage and 120K miles for $20K. That would a better deal than a roller.
