Sasquatch or '66 Roller?

Well I my opinion and since I restore and flip classic bronco as a hobby with my buddy , that 66 looks like its seen its better days with all the rust I can see in the photos, not to mention the rust you cant see, and knowing the amount of work it takes to restore them, your better off spending your money on the Squatch package. That just my opinion!

So most everyone here already hit the high points. If you're itching for an EB and have the space/skills/and bankroll, $5500 is a good starting point for a frame and a title. It really depends on what you want? If you want a nice shiny restomod, figure another $15-17k for a new body, find yourself a 96-01 Explorer, then start sinking another $20-50k depending on your tastes.

Building my '74 has given me a newfound appreciation for a brand new, fully equipped base 'squatch for $40k. You can't build an EB for that.. but then again, the EB is going to hold it's value in the long term.

So, if you put the price of a base Bronco in it, what would it be worth restored? At least the price of a FE imho.

Maybe, it is worth it. Has to be a labor of love, and I fear I would get attached to it and want to keep it. But in theory, maybe I could buy this for $5K, put $35K into it and sell it for $55K+, all before my NEW Bronco comes in. I could then use that $15K profit to upgrade from a Base Manual to a higher trim level.

Thanks. Probably less risky to do something boring and just buy Ford stock or something with the money that I have saved up for the Bronco.

Ad says body is an "easy fix". No such thing on an old 4x4, or probably anything else. Body work and paint is not easy, or cheap. Unless you are in abundance of free time and cash, go with a new Bronco.

"Easy Fix" is hilarious in any Craigslist listing for an old car.

I have to date put $32K into mine and it comes out of paint in the next month. I would not even entertain selling it even if someone offered me $65K or more. I love it too much, I did everything except body work and paint. BTW, the CFO helped finish it and we drove in a snow storm with a bikini top for Super Celebration West in September.
I want the old one for car shows and the new one as a DD. I even sold my V8 powered '93 Ranger to get rid of projects. When my 2021 comes home, I will sell my current hooptie (2003 Focus ZX3).

Fixed my post. It is a '66. I confused the first year with the Mustang...
'65 Mustang just naturally comes out of my brain. Hard to adjust to '66 Bronco as the first year.

It is listed as a '66 in Craigslist. It was my mistake to call it a '65.

Dude your 0 for 2. The first model year of the Mustang was 1964 1/2.

Really love this build. That paint with black script looks amazing. I did black on sand. The real question: How do you bring yourself to part with it? Must have at least one that has a permanent home.

I have that same Smittybilt bumper on my 1970. Don't see too many of those around.

Well it really wasn't that had to part with when I already have my 72 Seahawk bronco ( In profile photo) that I spent 30+ on, and the fact that I still have 7 more to build made it really easy to let go to a vary good home, its the 3rd one we sent to a better place, THEN MY SHOP , lol and have 3 going at once together in there now. At least if we get bored with one we just work on the other one next to it . LOL
