New rack... new light bar...new mounting options.. I can remove the rack from the base of the two mounting points in front... leaving the light bar on full time.

Looks very nice. How did you wire it? I haven't looked into what is required to wire a light bar up there. I've been leaning towards Rigid because I like the slimline profile of the bar.

Nice. How much weight is all that, loaded up?

This one has the RGBW backlights. Its three wires... ground, white light, backlight. (two aux switches). I used the two passthrough wires at the top of the windshield behind the passenger visor. There is a hole big enough for the wire to go through at the top through the weatherstripping... It loops around under the roof tile and into that hole. (don't have a pic of it).

I just mounted my 270 awning and will also add a storage bag on the back side. Empty Roam cases with mounts 70ibs. Awning 65lbs = 135.... still have almost 200lbs of junk that I can load up.
This rack holds: 330lbs (dynamic) and 600lbs (static).

Does this leak since you have a intrusion on the gasket for the roof panel?

Already has gone through some rain... no leaks. That seal is just for the roof panel, if water gets through, it would just drain down to the outside.

I might be more worried about overall GVWR than the rack capability. But you can always get burlier shocks and tires!

I too have a BadSas set up. But the topic It’s interesting (to me) as it’s something I’ve been recently looking at and doing some research on. The unloaded curb weight of the BL is about 5,000 lbs, and the GVWR (check your door sticker) is about 6,100 — meaning you’ve got about a thousands pounds to play with after stock for cargo + passengers + mods/hardware. My 2DR sticker says “combined weight of passengers and cargo should never exceed 822 pounds.” I’m sure they’re erring on the side of conservative for liability reasons. 800-1000 pounds sounds like a lot until you get a couple adult passengers and a bunch of camping gear in there. :)
