RF interference and soft top turbulence from RIGID (Ford Performance Light Bar)?

Hey Bronc Community,
Last weekend I installed one of the RIGID (Ford Performance Light Bars Part # M-15200K-BRL) and immediately had wind noise and RF interference. I went back over the installation instructions and did everything right except I missed a note that said to use the higher feet for the soft top roof. I used the shorter feet because I like the look better. This weekend I am going to install the IAG hood wind/bug deflector which I hope will help with the turbulence issue because I have seen posts that say that helps. If that doesn't work I will try changing the feet.

As for the RF interference I am not seeing any posts on this. Anyone heard of this issue? I reached out to RIGID and they said this was a first heard for them and that all their lights are shielded. It is instant. Aux 1 on, station becomes static. Aux 1 switched off station is clear. Each activation of the switch produces the same results and is instantaneous. I found two Youtube videos of other people having RF interference issues but not a Bronco and not a light bar, let alone the Ford part. One was from a radio and the other was LED headlight aftermarket bulbs. They both recommended Clip-on Ferrite Ring Cores EMI/RFI Signal Noise Filters. They seem cheap to try but I can't help but wonder if I got a lemon of a light if no-one is posting anything about this?

Interesting. I have the rigid bar from Ford Performance, and it has wind noise. As for the RF interference, I am not sure about that. I do have issues with my phone calls, but I figured that was more of an issue with my phone or my sync system. It is interesting now about the RF, as the same phone does not have issues in my Shelby or Rentals.

I tested playing spotify through bluetooth and had no issue so it only seemed to impact the radio channels. Then at that it seems to affect the more distant signals versus a stronger more local signal. Those weaker signals turn to solid static.

I have not tried to talk on my phone while the light bar was on yet. But I am praying it doesn't affect two way radio communication because that is what I will most likely use along with the light bar.

Update: IAG hood deflector is about a 90% improvement to the wind turbulence on the soft using the lower feet. It is a huge improvement.

Ferrite clips did not provide and change to the RF interference issue.
