So, I have the light bar mounted now and only wiring left. This kit comes with mounting brackets for hard top and soft top. The Soft top bracket is taller. Now I understand why the redesigned to the taller bracket. When I installed it with the shorter bracket, at speeds over 30mph it caused a flag flapping sound in the soft top. With the taller bracket, there is no flapping and no whistling sound. Once you get up over 60mph, there is a very slight hum, but it is not that bad. I will probably wire this up either tonight or sometime tomorrow but wanted to share info on the brackets. I'll post more pictures of the wiring when complete.
Update: Adding wiring pictures to post.

Thank you. Let me know how difficult the wiring is and how well it is hidden. I have seen it wired a few ways.

Can't you wire it to the overhead(existing wire) switches?

I think the instructions are to connect behind the glovebox but I saw someone drill a hole and poke it up through the bracket.

Yeah, but without drilling. Ford Performance has no drill instructions that are different than what you saw back in the early summer on Bronco Nation video. IS_M-15200K-BRL_010422.PDF (ford.com)
Yes I don't think I would want to drill. The wire they poked up through the drill hole was right above the visor in the trim piece...couldn't you just connect it their instead of the glove box? I have the pillars lights and think the light bar is my next purchase.

so this is how it will work. The light bar hot wire will connect to that wire (gray/orange) above the visor and ground to a bolt in that same area. The other end of that visor wire is under the glovebox. You then connect the (gray/orange) wire to the relay wire (brown/white) that is under the glove box. Then under the hood connect the gray/orange wire to the Aux1 wire.

Is anyone who purchased this lightbar for their Hard Top bronco, willing to sell me their Soft Top mounts?

Thanks for this link. Been researching this, was not aware of Ford recommending an under-the-weather-strip approach!

Yeah, take a look at my pictures above on how I did it. I couldn't find a way under like they called out in the instructions, so I went in where it looks like it's designed to be used with a small incision. There is a channel there in the weather strip for water to flow out, so I'm not worried about water. Let me know what you think.

Can you provide any guidance on the taller soft top brackets you used? I have been to Ford Performance and Rigid Industries and no one has a part number for those brackets. Ford Performance Warranty tells me I need an up-rev'd version of the lightbar to make the wind noise go away and that the short roofline hardtop brackets are not the issue.

I guess I need to understand what they mean by up rev’d version of the light bar? Mine came with the wind diffuser installed. What I noticed with the hard top mount (short bracket) is that there was no whistle or wind noise per say, but it caused the wind to make the top of my soft top to make a loud flag flapping noise. I do not get this with the taller mount. With the taller mount without the light covers, I do get more wind noise and a slight whistle at higher speed. Does that help or confuse things? 😊. What number did you call? Thanks.

I called Rigid Industries and they referred me to Ford Performance. I called Ford Performance and they said to email FWRTY.ford.com . I emailed Ford Waranty and they asked for pictures of my dealer installed lightbar. When I sent the pictures, they said I didnt need new brackets for my softtop, or the air damper strip, but instead I needed the updated revision of the Light Bar kit. My dealer is working with Ford Warranty to ship me the up rev'd version that they say will fix the whistle and air noise problem with my Soft top. I was trying to get the taller soft top brackets and the air damper strip, and this is where it has led me.
