Is it ok to run Rec90? About the same price as premium around here.

My question is why you’d want to? Shouldn’t be any reason you can’t or shouldn’t except it probably doesn’t have a top tier additive package like typical regular or premium from a quality retailer. But on the other hand it’ll give you a (very) little more mpg than gasoline with ethanol.

Sorry, I thought since you mentioned cost factor, you were planning to run Rec90 on a regular basis.

Fill up tank before storing to minimize potential for condensation. Add a fuel stabilizer with whatever gas you use before last fill up. Rec90 is not immune to oxidization over time, it just doesn’t have any potential issues related to ethanol.

sorry to hear you’ll be without your Braptor for 5+ months!

Rev 90 will be fine. Add marine stabil if you’re concerned about condensation. I’ve done that in my boats for years with no fuel issues.

Same!

Yeah no worries for just one tank.

Fill it up all the way, add some fuel stabilizer, and you should be good.

Ethanol as you probably know only lasts around 90 days max.

Thanks for the replies. Cost has absolutely no bearing on this. My other vehicle is a 2006 Chevy 2500 Duramax that I purchased brand new way back when. I am fully conditioned to paying high fuel costs and getting 12 mpg while driving 18k miles a year.

I’m just interested in putting the right fuel in it as it’s only going to be my summer truck.
