For those of you with RCV axles, does your passenger side have this play in it?

This was taken with the stock axles, as we were trying to diagnose suspension noise on the drivers side, which as was resolved.

The tech at the shop who installed the axles thinks this is the same as the stock axle movement.

Are you sure it's seated in the diff? I don't have RCVs but that looks like a big gap compared to stock. I'd pull that side apart and sure the axle is locked into the diff properly.

I had the shop swap back to the OEM axle, which has a much tighter fit. Not sure what RCV will say about it, the noise seems to have stopped but it may be to early to tell.

I got the same problem with my brand new differential and brand new Ford CVs. I was thinking of dipping the CV shaft into a bucket of tacky #2 red grease and shoving it back in. It's the loose tolerance of the roller bearing just inside the seal.
