Off-road or on pavement? I haven't driven a Braptor, but the Broncos I've driven on pavement handle like boats. At least compared to vehicles designed to excel on pavement.

Mind you I'm not complaining, the Bronco handles fine on pavement given the off-road design limitations, but I can't image a Braptor would do much better on pavement, especially if the center of gravity is even higher, the vehicle heavier and with even larger tire sidewalls.

On the other hand, I've seen some videos of Braptors at speed off-road, and they do seem taking it to another level compared to regular Broncos.
I’m kind of the opposite where I’ve not driven a regular Bronco. I will say about my findings of the Braptor, on pavement, surprisingly (even to me) it doesn’t handle like a boat at all. Now, I’m not putting it’s handling capabilities up against on-road designed performance AUTOs here, but going apples-to-apples with other trucks and SUV’s I drive, I gotta say the thing holds a corner really well, particularly for a vehicle sitting as high up as it is. Then add to that it’s nimble throttle response, I find the thing really fun in canyons. The suspension is firm but not rigid and gives a ā€œplantedā€ feel around corners/through turns with very little body roll/sway. Then hitting accelerator coming out of the last 1/3 of a turn will feel like its on rails, which I find nuts while sitting on 37ā€ A/T’s at 40~psi.

Off-road is about how you describe, but, ya, on-road I think might surprise you.

I never drove a regular Bronco before but I love my Bronco Raptor. It drives so much better than my modified Rubicon I sold. Go with the Bronco Raptor, its as much fun to drive as my Porsche Spyder.

Agreed. For a 5700 pound horse, surprisingly spry on the road. Absolutely untouchable at speed on gravel and fire roads. I have a few friends that I occasionally get together with and we "compete" up a long state forest road...climbs about 3 miles before a tight right corner followed by more straight into a fast off-camber right hand sweeper before it levels for a 1/2 mile or so. Two of these guys have 392 Rubis and one has a TRX. Not braggin' but I've not been passed yet....not even close. Now, this could be because the Braptor is technically superior. It could also be because I'm way phocking crazier than my pals. Wife says the latter - fyi.

And - check out Reading Offroad....requires an annual pass but lots more land to roam and some pretty steep/rocky hill climbing.
