Nice work @KansasRaptor
I just picked up my Shadow Black Raptor a week ago as well and I need to correct the huge hunk of silver in the front of an otherwise dark & menacing rig!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Now I'm onto the rabbit hole of sound proofing the top sections. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine. Hard to beat black ok black

What line of line-x did you get? Looking to do the same. I wanted Ultra, but nowhere around here seems to carry it.

If I recall correctly it was the premium which has some uv protection. The ultra or platinum on the website was really shiny in their samples. Mine has some shine to it. I didn’t keep the receipt to check For certain.
I posted about this somewhere else on this forum or perhaps on broncoraptor forum and it’s worth repeating. Line x coated all sides of the parts because I didn’t think to tell them not to. It cost more and made installation difficult. I had to scrape a lot of the material off the back of the plastic trim piece and bore out the holes with a drill bit to get the plastic connectors to fit. It also made getting the skid plate back on a little harder because of the increased thickness. The backside coating didn’t cause any problems with the tow hooks.

Any idea of the part # for the plastic cover in case the paint doesn't hold up? To your point on plastic, I'm of the same opinion, in fact, I would insist on using the promoter on uncovered plastic. It looked like it was injection molded, not painted, when I sprayed it. It became obvious that I was wrong when the light covering paint on it began reacting.
did
Yep, because they can just as easily buy the non-Raptor plates in black (metal).

Typically you should use adhesion promoter over plastic. But I guess that assumes the plastic hasn't already been coated with something. You could have bought the non-Raptor black plastic covers, but paint is cheap.
Did anyone write back on where to buy the plastic cover so you do t have to spray this part. Bronco comes tomorrow.
