Found this great price on a black Bronco emblem. This looks like it’s the real OEM emblem. Have to pay for shipping, and shipping looks slow, but if it’s actually oem, it will be worth the wait and shipping. I’ve ordered one and will see what happens.

I get that. I’m still waiting on my Bronco, but I’ve seen some YouTube videos of others doing it. Looks simple enough. Pry off the current one with some heat and pry tools, and replace with this one, that already has the 3m tape on the back of it.

I got this bundle for a Garmin dash mini 2 with dongar adapter. took 3 mins to install (attaches to auto dim rear mirror). and its small enough that you don't see it at all when driving and it's not obvious (so don't think it's getting stolen with roof off).

I taped around four or five edges so I had a guide as to where to put the new emblem and then used a non marring pry tool. I started slowly in one corner, started on another and it literally popped off in its entirety.

Let the sun hit it for a hour or hit it with a heat gun or hair dryer. Use a plastic pry bar/popper. Mine popped right off. Same with the for badge. Pretty much get under a edge then twist side ways.

I added door sill protectors, swapped the bucking Bronco on tailgate. I have also added @IAG Performance soft top struts (omg I love them AMAZING). I am anxiously waiting for my @JTopsUSA Bimini top and some Gatorback Mudflaps. But as we know with anything Bronco patience is key!

What's the point of covering the Lic Plate? I'm asking everyone .... just curious.

The plate is on full display in public 24/7, but yet when it comes to online images its blacked out!! I don't get it!

I feel the same. What is the big deal. Like you said it is on display all the time when you are tooling about or parked somewhere.

That's a legit perspective. I think the diff is that when you're driving around, a lot less people see your license plate for a much shorter time (on average). With a pic on a forum, you're more likely to run into scenarios where you've pissed somebody off arguing about the proper time for the first oil change, or somebody's a creeper (unfortunately more of an issue for women), or somebody's trying to work a scam.

Before the internet, you could get somebody's address with their license plate info, but the Driver Privacy Protection Act of 1994 changed that. Now, of course, there are lots of websites for looking up info on people, and they don't care about US laws restricting them.

Ironically, I've alway felt more comfortable with the idea of showing a vanity plate in a photo, though logically it makes no sense. I guess it's because one has to pay extra to put a message on a plate, so the whole idea is that you want other folks to see it.

I rock those too. I didn't mount my front plate, and keep it in one of those covers in case I throw it on my dash to be compliant.
