Hey there! So I’m going to be changing out the factory rock rails to deployable steps but not for a little while. If I get the mudflaps with the factory rock rail hole in them, when i change to the steps, will the hole leave room for damage to the body?

Yes, there will be a void left from the factory rock rails. You need mudflaps that are not made for factory rock rails.
