Did you get a reply on what type of diode to use?
I used a pre-packaged diode thing I found on Amazon. I like that it uses spade connectors (at the moment), so if I decide to remove one of the inputs (switch or reverse signal), I can just pull the connector off the diode thing. When I routed my wires, I bundled it up just behind that rectangular panel on the right rear.... So I would only have to remove that one rectangle to re-do any connectors if needed. Towed Vehicle Diode

We actually sell complete kits with lights/harnesses

We also make 2-3 pigtails depending on the light needs

First, this is our reverse in-line connector. It plugs in-line with your tail lights and gives you a Weatherpack 2-pin connector to plug into whatever you want:

Then we also have our upfitter/reverse harness. This basically is a wire ran from the front upfitters to the rear of the truck, that plugs into TWO lights. It also has a connection to connect our IN-LINE connector (above) to. We make 2 varients of it

DT-2 Pin, which has a 2-Pin DT connector on it for lights such as Rigid, KC, etc...:

And then our WP-2 Pin version, which has connections for Baja Designs

On our reverse harnesses again they connect to the upfitter, run to the back of the truck and plug into 1 pair of lights. And then there is another connector (2-pin WP) that we left which connects to our in-line connector.

The benefit to our reverse harnesses is that IF you turn on your lights from an upfitter it WILL NOT back-feed your factory circuit.
I have this set up now and it works perfectly. But I would like to add a 3rd light. Can I just splice into this harness? Thanks.

I don't know if the truck will support 3 lights on the reverse circuit. So you COULD but i can't sign off on doing that

What would you recommend? Also, can I use the same harness to power from the aux switch, but just unplug the reverse circuit?

Our harness is designed to be plug and play and works with our upfitter/reverse harness (which allows you to turn the lights on from an upfitter switch as well as automatically in reverse).

WP 2-Pin: https://www.4x4truckleds.com/crystalux-wp-2-pin-reverse-harness-w-upfitter-control/

DT 2-Pin: https://www.4x4truckleds.com/crystalux-dt-2-pin-reverse-harness-w-upfitter-control/

If using our reverse harness with SSC1 or SSC2 you have to remove the DT 4-pin connector on the SSC1/SSC2 and put a DT 2-pin connector on. Our reverse harness does NOT support back-lighting.
