First of all, I am very fortunate to have a great relationship with my salesperson at our local Ford Dealership. He has worked hard to keep me and my Dad informed, regarding constraints and our Bronco builds.
My friend, which ordered a Bronco from the same dealership, has a different sales representative that he works with.
Here is a quick story that illustrates the importance of connecting with your salesperson, if they are not proactively contacting you.
My salesperson called to inform me of my order previewing last week. He called back when it was removed from preview. He removed towing, with my permission, and it went back to previewing this week. I asked him to look up my friend’s order. His was not previewing.
Called my friend and suggested he remove towing. He called his salesperson and it was removed.
My salesperson called me with my VIN and confirmed scheduled build of 3/7 (week). He looked up my friend’s build for me, he also has a VIN and confirmed build of 3/14 (week).
My friend called his salesperson to let him know he had a scheduled build, it was news to him.
Be proactive, as best you can, with your salesperson. Try your best to have a reoccurring dialogue and arm yourself with knowledge from this forum. You may have to educate your salesperson.
