Production Stuck Check-In - Mod top issue?

That's super frustrating, I'm sorry you're dealing with that... I'd find another dealer and try again.

My dealer did not require any kind of deposit on my order... I was surprised by it and asked specifically if I needed to make a deposit and he said no. When I asked what would happen if I walked when it showed up, he said, "We'll just sell it to someone else."

Maybe my dealer is unique in that but know that there are dealers out there not requiring a deposit.

Mine didn't either - I just did it to ensure it would be mine when it arrived Little did I know it was more of an "if" it arrived

Here is my story, and i think i am in a unique situation, as best as i can tell (if anyone else is the same boat, we need to start a therapy session):

8-17-2023 Robert, we’ve got your order.
1-3-2024 Robert, we’re working on your scheduled build date
1-9-2024 Robert, the build date of your vehicle has been scheduled (for week of 1-15-24)
1-17-2024 Blend Date
1-24-2024 Your vehicle is still being built
2-27-2024 Robert, we’ve received your order! (OP and I thought this was the 'pre-shipped' email)

So far everyone on here has same story right? Then the craziness begins:

3-10-2024 We’re still building your vehicle (unexpected delays email)
3-21-2024 Robert, the build date of your vehicle has been scheduled

This email has a different VIN (same build configuration, same order code) and a scheduled build week of 5-6-2024. The old VIN still shows 'stuck in production'
Dealer has no clue what is going on. What happened to my first build? Stolen? Looted for parts? Crushed between rail cars? Chassis rusted thru while waiting for a window that doesn't fall out?
I am super happy for you all that have yours, or are showing signs of getting it soon. But this Ford experience sucks. Thank you for listening to me rant (or ignoring, whatever works for you )

Wow! This is crazy! It’s the first I’ve seen a story like this on this forum. I have only been stuck in production for a month and can’t imagine your frustration. I have lost my enthusiasm and all trust in Ford because of the lack of transparency and communication after the blend date. I’m tired of the finger pointing between dealership, chat, and marketing. My dealer tells me I have more info than he does. Chat and marketing tell me my dealer has more info than they do. So that means I know more than the company manufacturing and selling my $60k vehicle. They should be really embarrassed but they just don’t care. Rant finished

Alright, back to “Order Confirmed” this morning. At this point, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. All I do know is that Ford has a worthless tracking system and would better service their customers if they just skipped it altogether.

My conspiracy theory is that causing chaos in the tracking system helps them sell lot inventory because people get frustrated and give up on their order.
