Price honoring

After reading some of the issues people have had on this forum, I went back to my dealership to get something in writing. They mentioned again about the price protection but also said Ford makes them prove that the original customer did not want the vehicle if the purchaser is different from the original order placer. Ford requires a letter signed by the order placer to release the vehicle to be sold to another party above MSRP. I had not heard or seen this info yet on these threads. I hope it is accurate and can help someone who is working with a shady dealer.

Do you have an agreed upon price from the dealer in writing (i.e. Buyer's order)?
I'm sure you're aware but just in case, Price Protection is offered by Ford not the dealer and provides a rebate to offset increase in Ford MSRP - this has nothing to do with the actual final price of the vehicle charged by the dealer.

Yeah, I am aware that is a ford thing. The point is more towards the dealer that wants to sell the Bronco to someone else for more $$$. They should not be able to do that based on the need for the release.
