If you pass on this, and wait for the next one, the MSRP of that same build will likely be $1k higher. The rate of increase in Bronco MSRP has been astounding. I paid $5k over MSRP for my badlands a little less than one year ago. The price I paid is now MSRP of my build.,

Just sayin.....

For an extra 1k I would try to get add ons like premium tint included at least plus first two oil changes. All in writing of course cause word of mouth don’t mean anything.
That could be the equalizer: add-ons that are worth good $$ to you, but don't cost the dealership much. These could be: hood bug deflector, two or more service visits (include 5-wheel rotation), maybe the cargo storage drawer. For my purposes, I would not go for Ford mudflaps, which will break during rockcrawling, or the roof rack--you'll want something stronger, like the Trailrax. If you're planning on serious offroading, maybe the winch or ARB compressor? But waiting till Wednesday is crass manipulation. "Sorry, the sales boss nixed it..."
"Throw in the cargo security drawer,* two full service appointments, and you've got a deal."

*$789 list. I love mine!

I've been dealing with the sales manager directly lately but yeah you're right he will just say the owner nixed it.
Kind of tired of playing this stupid game.

They tell me that if it hasn't sold by Wednesday they'll sell it at msrp.
I rolled the dice today and it's still there. Wait a couple of days and hope it's still there on Wednesday or cave and buy at 1K over....
I think tomorrow is the biggest gamble. If it doesn't sell tomorrow I don't think it will on Tuesday either.
Tell them you’ll buy it now for $500 over. Done!

If you love the rig, get it. Agree with extorting as much service/swag as possible in return for their $1000 extortion.

Yeah it's approaching that time for Ford to announce more price increases..

If I ordered my spec as I have it today, it would cost over $7k more before tax. If it's the exact spec you want, I'd go for it.

Try negotiating a $500 "Memorial Day sale" or try to get some oil changes and tire rotations thrown in.

It blows my mind how many people here would pay additional $$$ over MSRP

With Ford's history of pricing traditionally far under MSRP, MSRP just became arbitrary number with them. I paid $11k under on my F150 18 years ago, and would've never dreamed of looking at a F150 for less than $9k under till Covid. With that said, drawing a line in the sand at msrp off the lot 6 months ago seemed slightly amusing, but with pricing coming down and more Broncos on the lot, I'd shop to insure I got exactly what I wanted, at a reasonable price.

My local dealer has a Badlands Sasquatch for 1K over MSRP.
I'm supposed to go sign the paperwork in a few hours. I have to admit to really be struggling with this decision. I swore to myself I would NEVER pay over MSRP for anything.
But....1K...Is that really so bad???
#1st world problems
Opinions welcome.
If $1,000 ADM on a 60K+ vehicle is concerning for you (either payment wise or principle wise) you probably shouldn't buy it.

ADM is falling to MSRP but a deal below buying off the lot is not likely till the MY24 broncos line the lots from top to bottom. Looks like MY23 ordering has closed and we can expect MY24 pricing to increase which I’m sure dealers will try to use it to their advantage.

Before Covid I wouldn’t have paid MSRP on anything now it’s the norm. Go figure.

I think many were taught to never pay above or even at MSRP, it’s hard letting old habits die hard. It’s a new world and the mentality has shifted.

No. It's the principle of the issue.
You're right I should stick to my principals.

Oh for sure, if it is going to bother the buyer based on your principals or financial reasons don't do it. Individuals should do what's right for them and not the masses.

Well they pulled the old Charlie Brown football trick.
Oh sorry our manager said no we can't sell it for msrp even though that's what we promised you.
So, that's that.
Folsom Lake Ford in California in case you're looking for a dealer to avoid in this area.
