WHAAAAT??? Turn OFF the camera when backing up? Is he mad? Lemmie splain....
So I've got one of those AIBox devices that casts Android to my dash screen. When towing the camper, I'd like to connect my wireless backup camera at the rear of the camper to this AIBox, which would display the camera image on this big beautiful screen I have on my Bronco dash.
Except, when in reverse, the Bronco displays the factory backup camera (and 360 view) on the screen. Not the CarPlay interface my AIBox is using. Which only gives me a big beautiful view of the nose of my camper. Pretty. But not very helpful when backing up.
So is there a way to temporarily disable the factory backup camera when I'm towing and just show the same CarPlay screen that normally shows when in drive?
The alternative is to just use my phone for the wireless cam image but would love to have it on the big screen.
EDIT: I would be willing to cut a sensor wire if I knew where and put an inline switch on it to basically disable the "Reverse Detection" on the Bronco - if this were a possibility.
