Eh. Some dealers are actually playing by the rules and only accepting what they were allocated for the model year. So as long as you are within the allocation, you’re good hopefully.

I was within allocation which was 1 wildtrak, so hopefully I will be fine

Submitted an order and I got email confirmation. I have a second order with a different dealer and no email. Is Ford only allow one order per person?

Absolutely not. I have an open order from Jan 2022 at one dealer and just placed the exact same order at a different dealer trying to better my odds. I will pay more at the second dealer but if I dont get built this year my price protection drops from last year anyway.

So I placed my order today, like everyone else, and have now received both my DORA from the dealer, and the email order confirmation from Ford. I am reading conflicting things about the COVP. The dealer said that they have submitted what they have to, and I'm good, I did provide a copy of my D/L for the order. Am I now waiting for another email about COVP acceptance? Am I good to get in line and wait with everyone?

No, everyone was in ordering mustangs today. I signed my order sheet and they stated they only had 1 allocation for a wildtrak and it was mine. The young lady I have been working with for 4 months called me like at 830am telling me she needed me in the dealership asap so we can do everything and to make sure that went to me. I did give her and the sales manager a $100 gift card to our local steakhouse because they were awesome

No lie, I got the confirmation email not even 10min from my dealer submitting my order. Could try reaching out to your store today or tomorrow to confirm. Never hurts.

Emailed dealer. They got the confirmation email and I’m getting a copy. Why would they get it And not me?

Is there a way to talk to Ford customer experience directly about the order to make sure my email is right and it looks good from their end? I would rather I talk to them myself and avoid the old “dealer said” rodeo.

So I have the email from Ford confirming my order. I haven’t received or signed anything else from my dealer yet.

What is the DORA and COVP? I’ve provided my driver’s license if that matters?

What should I do to ensure I don’t get screwed over? When do I make sure there is no ADM? I’ve only bought a car from a dealer once so this is all fairly new to me.

Salesman couldn’t tell what their order allocation was at Covet Ford in Austin but I am going to call back tomorrow and talk to someone else. My fear is they had a tonnnn of orders and I am one of many.

They’re a high volume dealer in Central TX but is it still smart to ask? If they are way over should I cancel my order and go elsewhere?

I doubt it would. You can place as many orders you want, with as many dealers as you want. I believe I read on this board that some have actually done that trying to increase their odds of getting one. Could be an effective strategy if the dealers don't require a deposit. Not a good idea if you ultimately loose a deposit because you back out at a later date.

I did this. Some dealers did not require a deposit and offered MSRP so what's the harm. Go with the dealer who gets your order in first. I have three reservations in and the plan is to keep them and see what 2024 offers.

I seen somewhere that you can take a gamble at asking ford cust support but they may or may not be able to confirm details because there’s just an order number, no VIN. Make sure they fwd you the email. All traces of proof will cover all the bases.

From my understanding a priority code of 10 is a great thing!
