Bare aluminum does oxidize.
Aluminum is rust-resistant, meaning it doesn't degrade due to oxidation caused by iron and oxygen. Rust only occurs in iron and other metals that contain iron. Steel, for example, is susceptible to rust because it contains iron.

Paradoxically, aluminum oxidation is a central part of its corrosion resistance. Aluminum has a very high affinity to oxygen. When a new aluminum surface is exposed in the presence of air or any other oxidizing agent, it quickly develops a thin, hard film of aluminum oxide (or hydrated oxide in non-stagnant water). This aluminum oxidation is precisely what makes aluminum so corrosion-resistant.

This film is relatively inert chemically. The corrosion resistance of aluminum relies on the inactivity of this surface film of aluminum or hydrated oxide. It’s when this surface film dissolves that corrosion occurs; when the film suffers localized damage and self-healing cannot occur, localized corrosion follows.

I have aluminum boats- and we use aluminum in the ocean specifically because it will not rust.

"Oxidize"- sure. But you'd never be able to see it.

Have these been confirmed to work with the Badlands rock rails?
From my experience this afternoon (albeit with the Mabetts), these types of covers are not compatible with the Badlands rock sliders. Unless there's some trick to it, due to reuse of the same holes as the sliders the added thickness not only means the rock rail middle two 10mm bolts are too short, but also prevents the upwards 13mm bolts from lining up.
