Ordering Accessories on Ford Website(s)

Just wanted to post this to save people some time if they encounter the same problems as I did. Was trying to access the FORD15 discount (15%) which you cannot get unless you have an accessories.ford.com account. This, despite the fact you can navigate from your ford.com account to the store. (shrug)

The system is glitchy. Few things to watch out for:
1) When you sign up for the accessories.ford.com account, don't use the same password as ford.com account, despite what website notifications and emails will tell you. Seems to be a bug if you do that.
2) When you sign up, you'll get a "verification" email that says this:

When you click Login, it will send you here:

So, it would be obvious to try to follow the instructions here and log in with your ford.com account, which I did a few times, does not work. What you need to do is hit "Create an Account" below, even though you'd think you'd already done that. Then you should be clear to finish the setup.

So to be clear, I do not think you can order directly from FORD, but must choose your dealer of choice to fulfill your order. Just print off your cart or wish list, call the parts dept at your fav Ford dealer and submit your order - specifiying you get the 15% off

I was able to place my order through accessories.ford.com once I got the account set up. And get the 15%. My dealer makes everything seem like rocket science so I wanted to do it without their involvement.

I've ordered from the accessory site and shipped directly to me very cheap and quickly, no dealer involvement. I can also confirm a separate account is needed for the accessory site than Ford.com.
