Does anybody know how to go about ordering accessories after your final build. I would like to pay cash for them and not include them with my monthly, among other reasons. Will they be available to order online or do i need to go through dealer? Will they ship to the house or through the dealer? Will the price be different for stand alone accessories (since it’s not being installed at factory)? When would they be available for a stand alone purchase? Any info would help. Thanks!

Many Ford dealers sell online for a discount. I like Tasca Ford / Tasca Parts as it is owned by Bob Tasca, the driver of the world's fastest Mustang.

I doubt they'd be any more expensive to buy after the fact. That said, you might want to take a beat and see what the aftermarket does.

IMHO, the aftermarket will provide a lot of products for the Bronco so I wouldn't be in a rush to buy the parts Ford has on its accessory list right away. Things like light bars and such, if you're looking for those, are probably a good buy from a dealer simply because they'll come wired so no work on your part and easily swapped out for better products later. The roof rails, tailgate shelf, crossbars and such, ehh, wait, they'll be better deals -- unless you need them immediately. I was all in on tube doors and crossbars till I paused and realized there will be a ton of parts for this thing and I can almost guarantee I'll get a style of tube door and rack for less than Ford wants.

I'm going after market on some parts, but I really want the MIC hard top (Call me crazy). If I get it cash after I order my Bronco, then I get both soft top (Standard) and the MIC for $695. Same with the "upgraded" wheels for the BD. Yes lots of after market wheels out there but I actually like the "upgraded" ones. The way I see it, if I get the "upgraded" ones after (I'm sure someone at some point will sell them here as take offs as well, I'll have 2 sets for the price of one. Lights, bars, doors, etc...that for sure will be aftermarket for me.

The prevailing theory here is short top isn't wired for hard top. Don't know how hard it'd be to do afterwards. I don't have any official source so this just could be people repeating a theory so much that everyone assumes it's true

Also I *wish* your math was right but I think you're forgetting the cost of the soft top is included in the price of the vehicle. The MIC costs 695 MORE than the soft top, not 695 more than zero. Sorry mate

I'd expect the soft top by itself to be about 1k. So if that is true, buying MIC after would cost 1600 and mod top would be about 2800 over the counter.

Yes soft top is included in the price of the vehicle. When you upgrade to the hard top and pick up your vehicle, you do NOT get both soft and hard top. Same with the wheels..when you upgrade, they do not give you 2 sets. So better off getting any upgrades later so you get whatever the standard package is + the upgraded equipment.

If you look at B&P and try to order the "dual top" it will cost you $1,795. So if you keep the standard equipment (Soft top) and order the hard top later, it will only cost you $695 for both.

Bestop Supertop Ultra for the JK is $2k. Mopar hardtop is $3130 through Quadratec. Buying tops through Ford at order time is the most economical way.

The caution on aftermarket Tube Doors, they may not have to go through crash testing qualification like the factory ones do.

My families life is worth the few extra bucks to get the factory ones. They will be sold at a discount once the online Ford dealers websites have them available.

While I hear ya, I guess you're never riding around with the doors off? Jeeps have had a tube door aftermarket for years, don't recall any increased insurance liabilities or deaths associated with them.

You could order the accessories with the Bronco and just pay for them when you are making your down payment. Even if they are the same price later they won’t come with free dealer installation or factory warranty.
