Order question

The real answer is no one knows... You chose a very popular combination with some constrained commodity selection criteria so it may take longer. If you spend some time surfing this forum, you will find there are customers that didn't even have a reservation who have a build date already (even hard top orders) while the same time opening day 2020 reservations that haven't heard a peep for production schedule.
Interesting, why is that the case? Shouldnt it be first come first serve? In all honesty I wish we didnt need a middle man aka dealerships. My dealer was all silent until I placed my $500 now I havent heard from them with what i need to do next. I would like them to confirm my odder, isn’t that the next step before it can be scheduled for production? Thank you!

Man I really wanted a bd 7 speed with mid package but they pushed me all out since I really wanted some lux tech options like the 360 camera, and adaptive cruise control. I guess its been a hit and miss from ford. What do you think ford can do to speed up the production ? Thanks!
Nothing really. Most vehicles designs are increasing technology, not removing it, and customer demand like you, are demanding more tech within the vehicles even if we ignore government mandates for better safety systems. The most they can do is inform you on commodity constraints and let you remove those features you wanted, which they have been doing.

I see, would it improve my timeline if I tried to change the roof to soft top? And if I do decide to change the roof to soft top I will need to contact my dealer? As I cant edit my order since it was placed? Or am I mistaken once order is submitted cant change any options? Thank you.
You have to work through your dealer for any changes to your order. Supposedly changing to a soft top will help you get your Bronco sooner. Some people have claimed that their orders were picked for production shortly after making that change but I'm still waiting.

You're order was confirmed, you posted the image of the confirmation. There is literally nothing next until you get a VIN number emailed to you and get scheduled for a build and even then it is wait some more...

Additionally, if you are this anxious now about the process and waiting, man you have a big surprise coming. This whole forum is like a support system of people waiting and hearing any news of a change. I would highly recommend reading the Build week threads and learning more about that wait as well as the many threads here about the process.

In short, you are about to wait and wait and wait. Get comfortable and try not to fixate on it. It can drive one insane.

I am hoping mid year hopefully supply chain issues such as chip shortages and labor issues improve in 2022. Thanks for the reply!
not happening...there will be people that reserved in the first WEEK that won't get a Bronco in 2022.

I see you are located in the Austin area! I too work for a big IT company that rhymes with 'Smell'. We might be 'co-workers'. I hope to see you around town, I am located in Hutto but drive through RR and Pflugerville all the time.

Also there is a Bronco event this weekend in Lakeway if you have time to go to it. Called Broncomas. Hella bad Broncos are putting it on. I am going to try to make an appearance.

BD cannot get mid with manual anyway, never been able to equip it like that.

Giving up the hardtop for a softtie would likely shave off six months or more from what you would have waited with a hard top. All the above disclaimers apply. Getting it delivered within a year (as a 2023 MY) is sooner than most folks (and we are all guessing) would think, but not impossible for a soft top.

@Buddd0831

If you want it sooner, take the advice of removing all supply constraint issues. I did that and got my Bronco way sooner than a lot of people because I made sure to not have anything that had any issue at the time. You will have to do your research and know what is holding things back right now.

When I ordered mine there was no issue with the 2.7l. So I got a base with it and changed to a Soft top as soon as they pointed out there was an issue. I don't want a hard top if there are still issues with them. I can just order one in a year or 2 when all the issues are fixed. Plus they gave me a hardtop prep kit! Good luck!

yes, ask them for a copy of your order confirmation. It will give you an order number from your dealer. you will then get an email from ford when your dealer enters the order and you will have a ford order number. Once that happens it will be crickets until you get scheduled for production.

I don't know if anyone truly knows but dealership allocations and parts shortages must have something to do with the inconsistent production schedules.

Your best bet is to remove all accessories and scale back on any upgrades you are willing to risk. It may help you get an earlier build date. once you have your build date, you can get your dealer to go in and add accessories if the factory has the parts at that time and it shouldn't mess with your build date.
