Order Numbering Question

I just noticed this. My original order (converted in March) is eight digits. The build email/tracker has a different order number that is four digits, with the order dated the date I changed my build.

What exactly does that mean? The revised build was an entirely new order?

4 digit dealer-specific order number is not related to reservation number which is the “order number” that is reported in the Ford website under Reservations/Orders
