Waiting for 2022's is looking more appealing. Ford doesn't seem to have a clear plan for 2021. I'm getting concerned that 2021's will be loaded with recalls.

Some dealers have a lot of reservations, hundreds. Let's say a dealer spends an average of 15 minutes with each customer to call, talk, get the order right, handle any down payment, enter the order, ETC. I think it will be a lot more time on average with people having to grab notes, look up stuff, printing online builds, being able to stop at work to talk to a dealer, generally not being ready when called (or assuming the call is spam and not answering), but let's go with 15 minutes. For every 500 orders that would be just over three man weeks of time (at a 40 hour week). Just getting these orders entered in the window is going to be a logistical nightmare with some dealers and error rates are going to be a real concern at all dealers. Be ready with a clear build, have them verify it with you at the end, and try to get it in writing to triple check after entered, if they can print and share it from their order system, that would be ideal. Hopefully they are allowed to do so. Mistakes happen, humans involved. So do all you can to minimize them on your order to avoid aggravation on the back end. Just a suggestion of course, I ain't the boss of you.

Was told mid-December when I called Ford to change my reservations (but am taking that with a boulder-sized grain of salt).
