At UBB I heard the typical CV joint click. That developed, slowly, into a thump. At 0-9 mph you don’t hear it, then it thumps once per revolution of the wheel until about 45 mph where it is not heard. Sounded like a broken half shaft to me so I replaced the driver side and found the inner cv cage had pulled loose from the clip. That didn’t fix it though, so I replaced the passenger side half shaft and still have the clump. Do you think it could be the intermediate shaft? It is definite and repeatable thump once per rev. Front drive shaft is not loose when I try to move it. Do I have to remove the FDU to replace the intermediate shaft?
