I didn't put this in the Marketplace because I'm not actually selling or buying anything, but I did want to get some opinions.

To set the context, I have ordered a 2 door Base model (Granger). One reason I selected the Base vs. the BB model was that I didn't think I was getting that much more value with a BB for the added money. The first thing I want to do is replace the Base wheels and tires. I have seen multiple threads where Bronco buyers indicated they'd like to replace their OEM wheels and tires with aftermarket packages that better suit their needs or tastes.

Now, my question. How much are the Bronco buyers that are looking to replace their OEM wheels and tires looking to get for their take offs? I am looking primarily for BB or OBX wheels, but would consider others as well. You don't have to be specific, a dollar range is fine. If the range is higher than I expect, it might compel me to upgrade to a BB, and get the few additional niceties as well. Thanks in advance.

looking to get for their take offs?
Ford Bronco OEM Wheel Swap Question tenor

Think about it. No one is going to want your Base wheels and tires. Now someone with a BB or and OBX might be willing to sell you their standard set, but they definitely aren't taking your base take offs as trade even with cash.

If folks are doing take offs then it is probably both tires and rims so say what, $150/tire and $250/wheel. $750 tires and $1250 for wheels? #PublicMath. Too much for my blood but I suspect that there will NOT be as many take offs as there might seem.

I'll sell my takeoffs for $2000 if you're willing to pay that.
Otherwise takeoff wheels will go for about $300-400 in a good market.

Yeah if I stuck with those ugly BB wheels I would've asked $500 for the set as I replaced them.

But I sorta fixed that by going Squatch

If I understand the OP correctly, they are wanting to know how much others who replace their OEM wheels and tires, would want for their sets to go on his Base model??? How long is a piece of string? I mean this sounds like when they get released you would want to put a looking for add on a sales area, but this kind of isnt that. If we are talking about general numbers, between 1 and 2000 would likely be somewhere in there, because honestly you are probably talking more like 5 wheels and 5 tires, and that is going to be a bit pricey for a brand new wheel with tire combo depending on what package. Honestly, the supplied options are usually cheaper if what you want is the OEM wheels and tires sets. Personally I wouldnt pay that much when the aftermarket stuff will be cost competitive and possibly look better in many cases. Just my opinion. Good luck otherwise.

I ordered a Non sasquatch Black Diamond for the purpose of having the steel wheels. Ideally I would have gotten a base , but cyber yellow isn't available on a base.

You're basically trying to figure out the price for "call" options for something that isn't even for sale yet. Good luck.
I'd suggest visiting the JLWranglerforums and scanning through there to get an idea, as what you are asking about is pretty commonplace. There you could see what people have been buying/selling takeoff wheels and tires for a vehicle that's been on the market for a while now. Understand, though, that if you are looking at doing this early in the cycle the limited supply is going to influence the price (higher).

It's definitely not worth upgrading to Big Bend unless you want to also get the Mid package.

I think you misunderstood what OP was asking. He is looking to find out ballpark pricing for those who want to sell their BB/OBX wheels (not asking how to price his own set).

Now, my question. How much are the Bronco buyers that are looking to replace their OEM wheels and tires looking to get for their take offs?
I think $1200-1500 would be a good deal for a wheel/tire combo (TPMS included). Just basing this on takeoffs offered via wrangler forums

@kirnma i could not find the value in BB either! I bet you could get a good set of take offs for $500-$1000 sometime next year once there is some supply. The steelies, I dig’em. Some 255/85R16 tires would be a really good setup, and I would imagine you could get 5 installed for around $1200. I think that’s a better deal than a BB.

Thanks for all the input. @NeoS281 is correct, I'm looking for a ballpark range, and the $1000-$1500 range is what I'd hope to pay for a set of take-off OEM rims and tires. Agreed, that it'll all be about supply and demand. If tons of Bronco buyers are upgrading their OEM wheels, the secondary market will be good for buyers, and just the opposite is supply is low. I know this thread is very preliminary, but I didn't see anything that scared me enough to upgrade to a BB for the wheels! I'll check out the JLWrangler forums as well. Cheers.
