FYI, there are still open time slots for Monday at a viewing in Villa Park. I figured everyone had a chance to book by now, so I’m going to go back for a second look over my lunch hour.

Thanks for heads up. If my day ends up light... I just might return. Now, where's my sticker?

You know, I'm in! Who knows when we get to hang out near one again? Got my stig patch on a hat now!

Finally getting to see the Bronco in person was awesome. I'm waiting towards MY22, but the only thing I know is solid for my build is that I will get a Badlands 4DR Lux, but still on the fence about color, to Sasquatch or not, and still open to getting a manual if they offer it with the 2.7 next year.

I went on Saturday and the trucks were inside, so the colors might look slightly different than in the sun, but it was perfect that I was on the fence between Cactus Gray (would get with a white top) and Area 51. The Area 51 looks so much better in person, and the cactus grey was just eh. It looked sharp on the First Edition with the graphics and all, but it wasn't as good as Area 51, so now I got my color decided.

It was also perfect that one was Sasquatched and one was not, and I'm so glad I saw them next to each other. The 33's are plenty on the Badlands, and look very good and proportionate on the 4DR. These did have the upgraded wheels and tires (M/T), so the tread on the tires helped give it a slightly more aggressive look than regular AT's. I did ask one of the guys at the event if he's driven multiple Broncos with different tires on them and how was the road noise comparison. He said he's driven an OBX on 32's ATs, and the two vehicles at the event and said he was even surprised how little road noise was added from the Sasquatch tires over the 32's and 33's. So now I'm probably leaning 80/20 towards non-sasquatch, the only reason I may still get it would be to get the front locker and higher drive gear from the factory, but would probably swap out the tires right away as I won't need M/T's on the truck all the time.

Here's some pics for anyone that didn't get to attend. I did take more of the Badlands than the First Edition:

I mean I would've gladly snapped one of you if you laid down in front of it like "Paint me like one of your French girls"

I noticed on both models being showcased here in Chicago there is an issue with a hard trim piece of the soft top rubbing and wearing down the paint to exposed metal on the same exact identical spot on both vehicles. I didn’t really get an up close picture, but it was the same spot on both Broncos on the driver side rear quarter panel. I didn’t mention it to anyone there, but I wonder if there would be a way to submit feedback? I know these are just “pre-production”.

I saw that when I was there Saturday! I'm hoping it's a pre-production issue that's been addressed.

I was there on Friday and one of the reps spoke about where the top rubbed off paint. He did say they are changing the tops to eliminate this problem.

I was the one wearing the gray with red Bronco shirt yesterday.
I'm assuming I spoke to you briefly with the Stig patch on the hat.

I got a similar answer when I asked rep about it while I was there Friday. He said it is an identified pre-production issue.

Hey Ace, I'm such a dope, later realized, hey, that's one of us!! And didn't ask....nice to almost meet you! So nice seeing them the second time since the 'rush' was gone or more subdued, and I could spend more time looking and measuring....

Yep. Scored. I reserved 8/14 I think, a month late, ordered Ground Hog's day, got a build for 7/19 week! No good reason. Dealer was shocked! And sad that the had to tell others way ahead of me that they're not building yet....No idea how it works, but happy happy. We can have beers in the drive when it shows up and you all can come take a look and pre-beers short drive. Seriously.

Yes.

Ordered immediately when the banks opened (before site crashed). Originally had a build date of June 21st got delayed to July 5th. Dealer said I was the first person in line at Fox Ford in Chicago.
